He refuses the frame entirely and tells the story as it actually is, even knowing it may cost him everything. No theatrics. No slogans. Just truth, spoken clearly, without guarantees.

That’s courage.

Chanukah carries the same lesson. The Greeks threatened us by reshaping reality. They tried turning Torah into symbolism, truth into mythology. The danger wasn’t persecution alone. It was confusion.

And that's why we light the Menorah. One small flame insisting that reality is not negotiable, even when compromise would have been easier, and far more popular.
