Moments like Shapiro’s speech remind us that truth doesn’t disappear all at once. It erodes when people who know better decide that silence is safer and that speaking out isn’t worth the cost. That’s unfortunately what happened when so many celebrities remained silent after October 7th. To them, speaking out for truth was just not worth the cost of losing too many of their followers. Cowardly.
