This story brings to mind, why would the state of Idaho charge more for potatoes in their own state then to people in other states when Idaho is the potato capital of the United States?
If every state that produced a resource charge the same amount to every other state, more States would benefit and prosper.
Certain States like Hawaii and Alaska get raped by the rest of the United States for the goods they get because of shipping costs yet they provide unique benefits to the United States just the same.
I would like to see the president enact a bill that evens out the price of goods across America as every state is part of the United States not the divided States. 🇺🇸
Free trade, sovereignty, flexibility, competition in the marketplace and more are the reasons not to hold all commodities to the same price in every state. Oh, and who decides that price?
Of course they can set their price to whatever they want but that price should be calculated to deliver that product evenly to everyone in every state.
