My monthly check is less than half that amount. I also served 8 years in the Navy. BTW - I am still working at home at 81 years old. Someone asked me recently if I was still working. I asked them "am I still breathing?". Of course I am still working - and will continue until I take my last breath on earth.
We share very few sentiments with our government.
Because cost of living and inflation is not factored at all into SS payments. Try to survive on the horseshit amount you get after putting in 50 years of working. It's a goddamn joke.
