Wow, I am shocked this is not in the national news. I live here in the greater Seattle area. I know people who have been stranded, one of my friends lost a platform he built on his riverside property ,I did warn him the river can change and sweep away houses , thankfully it was not a house. But many houses are floating down the rivers , mud slides in many places, major highway closed due to the erosion and half or the whole road is gone. Farms are wiped out, for instance a veggie and egg farmer and his wife lost everything, chickens drown, seeds destroyed, house flooded to the roof everything a loss , now forced into retirement early as it would take money they just dont have.
It is WIDE SPREAD in all the valley areas and lowlands. Couple that with power outages, from high winds. NOT NORMAL ! a little flooding each year (?) yes but never before like this.
