DRAGON MAN DID NOT SAVE HUMAN EVOLUTION
For a brief moment, evolutionists thought they had found their missing link. In 2018, a massive humanlike skull was pulled from a well in Harbin, China. It was nicknamed “Dragon Man” and formally labeled Homo longi. Headlines rushed to proclaim a new human ancestor, older and more primitive than modern people, supposedly reshaping the human family tree. But the celebration was premature. The evidence never supported the claim, and today even secular science has quietly walked it back.
From the beginning, Dragon Man was a problem for evolution. The skull showed a strange mix of traits. It had a large brain capacity comparable to modern humans, yet a robust brow ridge and thick facial bones. Evolutionists could not agree where it fit. Some said it replaced Neanderthals as our closest relatives. Others admitted it looked too human to be a primitive ancestor.

That confusion alone exposed the weakness of evolutionary storytelling. When a fossil can be made to mean anything, it ultimately means nothing.Then came the unraveling. More detailed genetic and protein analysis revealed that Dragon Man was not a new species at all. It matched Denisovans, a previously known group of fully human people identified from DNA found in Siberia. Denisovans were not evolutionary half beasts crawling toward humanity. They were humans who lived, migrated, interbred, and vanished like many other post Flood people groups. Dragon Man was not our ancestor. He was our relative.
This matters because it exposes a repeated pattern. Evolution does not follow evidence. Evidence is forced to follow evolution. Fossils are declared ancestors first, questioned later, and quietly reclassified when the story collapses. Dragon Man was never proven to be transitional. He was assumed to be transitional. When better data arrived, the assumption failed.
