A few decades ago, it was ILLEGAL to make a movie with violent rape scenes and vulgar behavior. There were certain acts that were not allowed to be publicly viewed. The XXX films required special theaters and an ID was required to enter. In the 1960s as soon as LBJ took over the presidency, society became targets of the movie moguls and they began to show more and more illicit and downright vulgar acts. Those who objected to this simply stopped going to cinemas. The productions coming out of Hollywood now are filled with vulgar language (lots of it) - vulgar acts of sexual deviants, homosexual acts, cruel acts and so many others. It is not only disrespectful to many people but it is twisted and evil. These shows also promote bad behavior in people who have a tendency to that lifestyle. Early films like The Split (1968) and Last Tango in Paris (1973) were among the most attended of the early "snuff" films. The sad start of a nasty era in filmmaking.
