I saw the space shuttle take off one time from Cocoa Beach and it was pretty awesome, although to me, it didn't seem like it kept going towards 'space'. To me it seemed like it went up a while then turned south.
You should check out Crater Earth theory if you get a chance. There are a few compellations that have a 'cover' that says 22-TV, something or rather that all the videos in order by Wim Carrette.
I think now that the space shuttles have been going towards the tip of South America, where beyond that there is a 'hidden sea' which leads to the 'Pillars of Hercules', which is very possibly the way to get in and out of our Crater. Carrette believes that they've been planning a settling the land that is immediately outside since after WW2 when Nazis got up high enough to see the reality of the world we live in. The theory contents that the moon is a kind of 'map' reflection of the ground below.
