Kat, just as QTSR says, it's a great time to Stock Up - just in case of emergency - on things like dry & non-perishable food, bottled spring water, whatever necessities one needs to be comfortable. Don't forget to rotate!
Pet food, meds, etc.
10 days worth min, 30 days even better.
If one does not have enough money to stock up on food, then get stocked up from a local food bank. Fill cupboards & freezers!
Also fill those vehicle fuel tanks, just in case.
Fill those BBQ propane tanks.
Spare batteries, flashlights (cheap solar landscape lights work, too).
Your preferred self-defense tools always handy.
If you can, a portable generator (always run outdoors, use extension cords to fridge in event of a power outage) + spare fuel safely stored.
If you want, a CB or Ham radio. (CBs for sale at your local truck stop, about $350)
Know where loved ones are. Have a get-together plan. Protect children & elderly 24/7.
Never be scared, just be prepared!

You can always stock up on some extra non-perishable food, bottled spring water and pet food and such, and just do it discreetly. Remember that the Military's got this, and anyone in need they have surely prepared for that.
I anticipated they'll be knocking on People's doors asking what they need and distributing on an as needed basis anything and everything.
Our Military is so freaking AWESOME, and no one knows logistics like the Military.

Keep in mind we could see here & there SHORT TERM power outages. It's always a good thing for Folks to be as prepared as they can. I don't think there are any long-term power outage risks and Q told us that.
Protections are in place.
That said, short term power outages can occur especially in Wartime, and I won't go into detail (Gene Decode has explained some of those reasons). Folks should just always be as prepared as they can - to stay more comfortable.
Wartime President Trump invoked many measures to protect our Nation's Power Grids, and we must be thankful for that.

RENEGADE absolutely was setting up our Power Grids for a catastrophe via compromised power generation & distribution equipment, as well as faulty supply chains.
