This is my go to recipe to get rid of mice in my house. Mice can't burp, so they build up gas and die.
Baking Soda as a homemade mouse poison recipe;
To get rid of mice, mix Baking soda with a filler food to entice a rat to eat it. Peanut butter is a good choice. Mix equal parts of peanut butter and baking soda together, form pea sized balls and place where mice have been seen. *Avoid this homemade mouse poison if anyone in the building has a peanut allergy.*
Thanks for the tip. I had an issue with mice getting into my attic and found a solution.
I bought a box of 40 glue boards/traps that are about 5" X 3" in size for $15. They have the peanut butter smell to attract them. Placed a bunch in the attic and caught about 10 mice over 2-3 months. Haven't heard or seen any for 7 months now. I leave the boards in the attic to catch roaches and an occasional lizard.
