GOD doesn't need anything proven to Him. Nor does He need us to be good. He wants us to trust Him, and humbly admit how rotten we are. He wants us to accept that His perfect Son paid the price of our sin. The wages of sin is death, which means every man, woman and child has earned their just punishment: death. Except for Jesus, who lived a sinless life, which He gave as a sacrifice to pay for OUR sin. We've been taught to "be good, or else" all our lives. But doing more good than bad doesn't save us, and neither does being better than someone else. Jesus is our standard and we are incapable of living up to that perfection. But we have hope! When God looks at those who trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior He sees only Jesus' perfection. Our filthiness is covered in Christ's righteousness. 🙌✝️
