What's interesting, as well as *crucial*, to know is that regardless of how many days various "calendars" have added/subtracted along the way ... the *7 day cycle* that GOD put in place has NEVER been broken.
For instance In 1582 Oct 3 was immediately followed the very next day by Oct 15. Only the number changed .. the 7 day cycle was kept intact.
I went to mass on Monday, and the priest is from Ethiopia. He said that the year is 2016 in the Ethiopian calendar, which is about seven to eight years behind the Gregorian calendar. (This ancient calendar has 13 months and is derived from the Julian and Coptic calendars, with its New Year falling around September 11th or 12th in the Gregorian calendar.)
