They act like the "truth tellers", the parents and teachers are nuts. My daughter works in the field; she shuts me down anytime I bring up the idea that vaccines could be causational. My niece has a master's in autism therapy. She is on Instagram saying she would never take advice from so-and-so Trump. It's bad out there.
