It was a set-up from the start.

...The protest itself was highjacked by large groups of agents provocateurs. A police car that had crashed in another part of The Netherlands, earlier this year, was apparently dragged to The Hague, to be set on fire, rolled over and set on fire again, just to incriminate the protesters.

We even had a real false flag event: windows of the office of one of the left wing parties (D66) were broken, while some puppet waved the flag of right wing party FVD in front of it. You couldn't wish for a more classic example.

The likely aim was to discredit the so called rightwing parties (FVD in particular), presumably as they are gaining too much traction, with the Dutch parliamentary elections approaching fast (end of October). Oh, and proposals for crackdowns and severe safety measures will undoubtedly follow, but what else is new?
