to me both parents were involved in his demise. emotionally and physically for what he went thru. he praised love to them all yet i feel even at his death bed comments he was lying to them, its obvious to me for sure now that introduction of altered sexual introduction in the childrens lives even when he was younger (he was 22). and he in his own altered way, wanted to save those children from what he went thru by killing them.. symbolic to like a bad breakup divorce. the dad kills the whole family cause if i cant have them no one can.. in spite of it all he never blamed the parents. just told them to go on with their lives (but knowing they never would --or would they?) my opinion only but blaming drugs i dont think was the start of any of it. psych med dont do a thing but maintain their problems. why nut houses were always full.in other countries this doesnt seem to be as much of a problem..
