Absolutely ... learned and embraced by time I was 20 two important ideas

Eat with your *mind* .. ie, get educated about how your food is grown, produced and processed, read your labels .. and eat accordingly .. organic if possible of course

And the old adage 'an ounce of prevention worth a pound of cure' was pure gold

Almost 74 now, on no meds, and still lead a very physical life

Maybe more that they were raised on real food and passed on better genes?
And real food was still fairly available when we were coming up and our stay at home mom's simply expected to prepare meals at home while dad's still able to support such families?

Just the 'way it was' ... ;)
