Sad to say - but I know of a business that is taxed every year by the state for their CNC machines.
And in the same town the city hired people to harass people holding garage sales - they are taxing those too.
Plasssticman, that also might be called "Business Personal Property Tax", "Inventory Tax", "Use Tax", "Ownership Tax" and so on ad nauseam. It never ends...
We gotta remember not just the USA INC. of DC (now defunct, dissolved), but also THE STATES OF...THE COUNTIES OF...THE CITIES OF...THE TOWNS OF...are all "corporations", incorporated, likely foreign-owned, with D&B Numbers and in the business of making profit by stealing our wealth, money, assets without Lawful Authority.
That is defined in US CODE as OPERATING UNDER COLOR OF LAW and that's a Felony.
