Yes! SERVING is the key word. SERVING the PEOPLE, not themselves! SERVING for a time ( no more than 10 years IMO), then returning to their former lives and careers. There could be a small benefit like a decent salary and perhaps a contribution to a retirement fund for SERVING, but no lifetime benefits, no insider trading, no lobbyists paying them, etc. AND, they have to abide by all laws that they pass! πŸ˜‡

Saw an email recently about term limits ..stated what still seemed way too long to me!

Recall Mr Smith goes to Washington?
He went to do a job..then returned home. It wasn't a career...but short duration...that should be IMO how it is done.
Seems to me Senate should be maybe 2 or 3 years and House 2 years. With 1 possible reelect...but no more lobbyists and Corp groupie garbage.
NO LONG TERMS AT ALL!
