Bug bites, spider bites, the itching can drive one insane lol. Have to share: have tried cortisone, and all kinds of stuff that didn't help one iota. The one thing that did help was to put a spot of OraJel on it and it stopped immediately, and went away quicker than anything else. Last yr, I also used it for itch when I had shingles, which also worked. Amazing that simple toothache numbing stuff could work so well!

Thanks for the tip! I am recovering from a yellow jacket attack. I am allergic, but was able to avoid the hospital. I will try the OraJel for the other critters and leaves.

A baking soda paste works as well.

I've done the exact same thing with mild poison ivy. Works very well.

Good tip. Also baking soda and water. Make a paste, put on bite and cover with a bandaid. Dries right up and stops itch!

Lol, you beat me to it!

Thanks! Got spider bites while outside weeding. I have tried before with the baking soda, but still found myself waking up in the middle of the night with insane itching lol. For me, anyways, the dab of the OraJel worked great stopping the itch all night long.
