In my view, King James was a crypto Catholic posing as a Protestant to remove the Apocrypha from the Bible. The Apocrypha talks of Israelites anticipating Jesus Christ 400 years before his birth & speaks also of the Edomites.
Protestantism was born once the Gutenberg press gave the common man access to the Bible; why would Protestants throw away scripture so soon after the Protestant reformation began?
I wonder if we will find passages in the Apocrypha quoting the Book of Mormon plates before they were brought to the Americas.
