I received a notice of intent to garnish my SSN by my state department of revenue.
I merely wrote on the notice,
I DO NOT ACCEPT YOUR OFFER TO CONTRACT AND I DO NOT CONSENT TO THESE PROCEEDINGS.
Signed it, "By: My Name" and under it I wrote, "Authorized Representative."
Copied it, and mailed it certified to them.
It'll be a year ago in August.
I've also used the same process in dealing with collection agencies due to being laid off during COVID.
