Praise God, I'm still alive. Heart rate is 47 this morning. I didn't take the Sotalol to control heart rate last night. No muscle relaxer either. Calling Cardiologist today for instruction. My resting heart rate has always been in the 50s. But never in the 40s. Please keep praying.

My husband and I have both been diagnosed in the past with high blood pressure, but both have been under control for years now.
Suddenly, a few months ago my heartrate went over 200 bpm, and we called the ambulance.
A-Fib with RVR. I was given cardizem 3 times, which did nothing, except later on that day when my heartrate dropped to 38 bpm.
Whta is even stranger is my husband went to the diabetes Dr, and they told him he was in A-Fib, but after he got home his pulse went down to 38 bpm.
The strangest thing about all this is that neither one of us had any symptoms, not dizzy, not passing out, nothing.
Now, it happens so often to me that I just go get a cup of coffee, two excedrine with caffiene, and start my chores around the house, and before I realize it my heartrate is back to normal.

My Dr. said he never heard of such crap. In other words, he didn't believe me.
Point being, if you are not having symptoms with the low heartrate, it is probably a benign situation, but if pain, weakness, or any symptoms show up, call 911.
