I think Trump also lavishly praised Boeing.

then, suddenly Boeing had a number of weird things happen, like - in midair - a door flew off a plane.
Boeing may have done some firings and new hirings.
Anyway, during the FJB years, what happened to Boeing's reputation?

Yes, Congress and many other pols accept many different 'gifts' but they do it all surreptitiously. They knowingly break the law. Traitors all.
Trump isn't doing anything wrong by accepting a plane for the benefit of the taxpayers.

Consider that since Trump has repeatedly announced the 'gift' of a plane that could be equivalent to an Air Force One plane, he is completely transparent and by accepting on behalf of the US, he is completely within the law.
