I worked as a nurse in a Detention center for a little over a year. It is inhumane. Green bologna, one slice, on 2 slices of hard bread for lunch, no air in summer, no heat in winter. Medical conditions that should be addressed immediately, and the inmates are told they can wait until next week for an xray on a white (no blood flow) finger he dislocated. Furthermore, the woman in charge would not let me reduce it. So, I told the inmate how to reduce it if it was me, and he did it himself. Pinked right up.
My goodness, the chain gang was more humane. I remember as a child taking cold lemonade out to the guard and his charges while they cleaned up our ditches along our little country road. We looked forward to seeing them every spring.
And, they all had good manners.

I became a nurse to help people, not to keep them sick. I tried to change things where I worked, but was simply told I had great ideas, but the cost of implementing my methods would cost too much. I was speaking of cooking balanced meals in the hospital as opposed to the fast food method our hospital had swithched to in the past 5 years. Their goal seemed to me to disrupt normally controlled diabetics diet when they are admitted. Within 12 hours after admission, and 2 meals from the cafeteria and now they could label them an uncontrolled diabetic, and keep them as long as they wanted, according to insurance.
What usually happenedd was some nice nurse would tell the patients family, "If you had the sugar under control at home, why not just bring the patient his regular meals while he is here." No problem, no spikes in blood sugar.
I gave up my license about 10 years ago after admitting defeat in my chosen profession.

We can hope and pray for that, but we need more compassionate people in healthcare. The biggest problem I see is the apathy of most nurses I worked with over 20 years.
They are in it for the money, and actually hate patients in my opinion. They get mad at the patient for code browns, or vomiting, or even asking for too much like blankets and pillows, or an ice bag.
I saw a patient code one day, and his nurse looked at the monitor, saw the patient was in trouble, and started cussing under her breath about having to get off her ass and take care of him.
I've worked in healthcare for 40 years now and I can say, it has changed dramatically. People work at a "job" now. I used to be so stressed out with what I would see on a daily basis. I finally asked God for help and He told me that I needed to make my "job" my missionary instead. Now, I work for God and my "job" is now how I minister to patients. I no longer work for the healthsick system. God is in control and is fixing what has been corrupted by man. Keep the faith and set your face on God instead. Everything else will fall in line.

I began researching homeopathic treatments and cures.
My own health has improved drastically since I gave up the phamaceuticals. I do not recommend anything I have not used myself. I recommend the patient do their own research with my help.
I had a setback with respiratory distress and had to go on an inhaler to breathe, but I am working on getting rid of that as well.
I am trying to teach people how to research their own health, symptoms, and homeopathic treatments. I just figured Mother Earth was made for us, so she should have everything we need right at our fingertips.
We just need to remember.
Yes, everything we need is here on earth. I hate having to go to a Dr for anything now. I have greatly improved my own health by researching and finding others with wisdom and knowledge to help me on my journey. Unfortunately, too many people trust everything that comes from the healthcare system and believe everything else to be quackery. Since COVID, I have refused any vaccines and most medicines. That makes it difficult to find work since the system wants you to take their products. Some employers have given religious exemptions, but many still do not and want to force us to take them. I will quit working before I take one more of their poisons. Healthcare has become a system of band-aids and little cures. It all comes down to nutrition and avoiding the poisons in my opinion.
Yes, proper nutriton is so important, but from what I understand that food pyramid needs to be turned upside down.
Pretty much...
