Absolutely right Kat. But in the very beginning of the evil era of humankind - God gave us all the right to choose our path of good or evil. Genesis 2nd chapter:
"God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. God told them, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must NOT eat from the tree of the KNOWLEDGE of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
God's long suffering and love for humans continues this day to bring us around to the TRUTH. In order to turn around and head the other way - we only have to CHOOSE the path laid out for us. Sadly, many will never choose the right path. One of the saddest verses in scripture is in Genesis 6th chapter:
"God saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, that every inclination of thoughts of the human heart was evil all the time. God regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled."
