Interesting amount of time committed to pomp and ceremony for Popes not murdered in their Vatican bedchambers like John Paul I, who was dead and in the ground and a new pope installed w/i 12 hours.

Even *if* John Paul I wasn't murdered but died naturally the extraordinarily short time between his death and the next pope seemed HIGHLY unusual.

Here the conclave to vote for the next pope won't even begin until May 5 .. almost 2 weeks off.
