"It's going to be Biblical" - A watchman on the wall of the times upon us - "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord" Is1:18;

Forgive me if I've told this story before (I'm getting a bit 'geezerly' these days .. ;)
In '95 I joined a ceremonial walk for a week w/ a group that included 5 Algonquin elders/'pipe carriers' .. ie 'medicine men'. One morning a jug of watery milky looking stuff w/ some vaguely roundish things floating in it (what one of them called 'beaver ball juice') was passed around the fire amongst the elders, one of whom, Joe Soto, had sort of taken me under his wing. So I asked Joe if I could have some and it was passed to me. After which he looked at me in the eye and told me to 'remember this in 3 days'.
So exactly 3 days later I had just boarded my bus back to StL from Little Rock and I had to pee. It was reddish and burned a bit so I stopped, grabbed some t-paper for a filter and caught some very fine reddish sandy grit.

I've never ever seen anything referred to as 'beaver ball juice' when trying to find out exactly what that stuff was. Highly reliably effective whatever it was.

Beaver castors? It's a gland from a beaver, used to make vanilla flavoring.

Interesting, knew they used it in food and perfume, didn't know it could be used for health issues too.
