Why is everyone so stressed about the "Real ID?" I have one and I've had it for 10 years. It's a gold star on your license which proves you're a citizen and gives you freedom to travel without a passport 🤷♀️ I think it's a great idea, because it'll weed out the illegals from the citizens.
