I learned this from one of our pastors who was studying to become a Rabbi ( he grew up in a Jewish family) but discovered (revealed) that through that study, Jesus is the promised Messiah. He was kicked out of his synagogue and pursued his new found Christian faith. He knows the law, festivals, requirements very well. He explained these differences and how in certain years there are two preparation days for these feasts which accounts for the 3 days and three nights in the tomb. Very interesting!

You know there is much to be glad about. We must also remember to be merciful to those who are stuck on certain "levels" because ALL of what God has meant for us to understand, has been an 'unfolding,' if you will. The mysteries of God are opened little by little. The Scriptures say, "1 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon; line upon line; here a little, and there a little:" (Isaiah's writing in Ch 18).
We rejoice to know God is connecting the aspects of the Old and New Covenants, and we are fortunate in seeing the "glass" not darkly, but 'a little clearer.' Our Father realizes we (generations of believers) begin at what level we came into the faith! We have to allow maturity so for a baby there is no 'choking on meat, when it is unable to digest it!)

I grew up Lutheran, was agnostic for a few years, started going to a Baptist Church for a few years, Got saved and started going to non-denominational church. Still always felt like I .missing something. Read the Bible myself and did not see a lot of what the protestant church was teaching, in fact, quite the opposite. Lot of sugar coating and watered down seeker friendly preaching. Ran across a few Messianic Jews/Christians on YT then joined a local messianic Torah Study that tied the New Testament to the Old and knew I had found the truth. Teaching the way it was intended to be, As Yeshua Himself did. A whole new world opened up.

Amen my friend! 😇 It makes all the difference in the world! The bible comes alive and understandable in a whole new way. I too grew up Lutheran. Went to a Methodist church and a non denominational church for awhile, learned a few new things in both, including having a personal relationship with God. Then a new pastor came and it was the same old teaching of themes, not the bible, taking verses out of context etc. Then found a small group who listened to this Messianic Jewish pastor and continue to this day. I love that he teaches the Bible in it's historical context verse by verse, book by book. No watering down of the truth either. I love the bible now, it is so interesting and amazing! 😇
