I have used bamboo in several parts of my home. It never ceases to amaze me. Bamboo: Grows crazy fast, stronger than steel! Imagine houses, furniture, even clothing made from this eco-warrior.
Hemp: Versatile! From textiles to biofuel, it's a renewable powerhouse.
Did you know? Hemp can produce 4x more fiber than cotton on the same land!

I've installed bamboo flooring and it splits very easily, they have not perfected it yet.

Doug fir trees for lumber is abundant and easy to mill and easy to work with. Bamboo has a hollow core and you cannot Mill it. I think the process of turning bamboo into lumber would be a lot more labor intensive than just cutting lumber directly from trees.

I'm not saying bamboo is useless I'm just saying it's not as easy to work with in the construction industry as I've been in this industry most of my life.
