I had a lightbulb moment earlier today when researching a Bissell product for an older friend who refuses anything from China.
The product data on several sites, including Bissell's home page wouldn't tell me where the product is made.
I finally asked differently: "Is Bissell made in China."
Bissell moved its manufacturing to China in 2012.
My lightbulb moment?
The tariff battle ISN'T with China!
The tariff battle is with U.S. manufacturers who have moved their companies to China for more profits.
Stay in China Bissell and risk sales & profits in the U.S. (probably Bissells largest consumer)
or bring your manufacturing "home" and keep your market.
I was here early in 2021, then got "spooked". I am back because I want to live. I read a lot. I observe. I listen. I have faith in us.
This was explained in the cabinet meeting today with examples of how those companies should have been told if they did that there would be a 100% tariff but our incompetent leadership did not put Americans first.
well...how are they going to correct this now?
china isnt going to kick those companies out of there...hmmmmmm............................
