or maybe a bit less; anyway, we work our whole lives, have a portion of our paycheck sent to city, state and federal tax collection agencies, and pay all kinds of other taxes.
Then we retire and get measly peanuts upon which we are supposed to be Soooo happy, and some folks are not really able to survive.
Irony: every time I see SS as abbreviation for Social Security, my thought goes directly to Nazi SS, Germany, WW2.

You also fail to recognize that the current Deep State welfare & entitlement programs BY DESIGN absolutely discourage People from succeeding & even penalizes them for working harder & earning more to try become independent of that Failure-Based system. However; please note that all these offers of universal income, basic or high, are for money - not energy.
The resources that they say are to let people be free, are really just another form of money laundering. Inflation is caused by an increase in the money supply. A government giving out free money is (socialist for starters) causing inflation. Even a high universal income will become low with inflation.
And every dollar will eventually be spent on utilities, rent, and food.
And find its way into the accounts of the same banking cartel.
When energy is free, I'll listen. Until then, its just rebranded socialism - marketed to former conservatives.

I may be a Cowboy, but I went to college & university & studied those vile ideologies cuz I wanted to know what that bill of goods tyrants was tryin' to sell. Got a fancy degree to put on the wall, threw it in the trash. Then I went out into & spent time in some of the poorest countries of the world to see for myself, and the common denominator I found that germinates all those ideologies is POVERTY, and all POVERTY is manufactured, a Cabal construct, and so is SCARCITY.
