Looks like me as a child🥰

I love my red hair, though it's funny children at school did not, got called witch a lot, or Kate Bush. At the time I didn't understand but now I'm older & wiser. I listen 2 the inner earth girl & she comes alive passed down from my Dad's mum, my granny, the herbal teas, the honey remedies the homemade elderflower she made, though she couldn't cook a cake or pie & burnt most food stuff occasionally, her love 4 her family was boundless, this female figure head of our family everyone gravitated 2 be around a force 2 be second with, though secretly she battled with an abusive marriage cause my grand dad was suffering from undiagnosed PTSD & bore a broken cheek bone & mental scars from the blows he dished out. My dad saught 2 do the same 2 his wife, our mum, from a time he believed women deserved 2 be hit! though I questioned does that include daughter's!

Now I'm starting 2 go grey, the Wows I get & comments about how thick my hair is, & even more Wows when I walk down Sheffield town centre with my only red haired daughter, I feel so proud she doesn't get the calls I did. The battle scars I feel I carry from being little are healed 2 a point, they leave me feeling sore & hurt. But since having children & grand children the hurt doesn't seem 2 have the effect it used 2. They are learning my natural ways, the remedies, the basic stuff 2 grow 2 have your own food. The natural earth girl in me, from generations past down to me through my elders feels like it flows through me & in to my children & through their children, the crafts I do pass on my skills this is what we women, mum's where borne 2 do, like native Indians have their pow wows in their tee pees. I love being the figurehead of my family now, my parents have failed that mission I took on that role, they are not people to admire, unfortunately.
