I work in the IT world. To shut down the entire internet would be more than a bug. It would be an attack of unspeakable size and scope. A government or government agency would have to be behind it, not a small group of hackers hiding in some terrorist bunker somewhere. Would probably be easier to shut down power grids than the actual internet. Just saying....
