With my generous (NOT!) check, I can't afford much and frankly, it's awful, awful, awful.
Disabled, I really look forward (NOT!) to trudging to their
f-in offices to show them I am real and then, quite honestly, based on my prior experiences with Soc. Sec., to be treated like crap.
Elon and Trump care and they love America, but they may not realize the actual plight of the little people, especially the real, legitimate, little seniors. Geesch!

Saw an update to initial reports about *in person* SS verification stating that there will be an *on line* process for it as well. Which there would HAVE to be, considering all those in nursing homes physically unable to go to SS offices. Not to mention the *massive* task of getting everyone into them in person.

Anyway, it probably was cathartic to get angry at social security et. al., even if it's the fraud that has seniors struggling.
For seniors who are well, or nicely, past the age of first year enrollment, the financial struggles have been ongoing for far too many years.
The stress of choosing what to give up or put off so that you can pay for electric, food, etc., is daily.
It is a terrible thing that every day, you know you simply cannot make ends meet.

Way things are going I wasn't all that surprised to see an ad for something called an 'anger room' (rage room?) posted to a message board at a local laundromat apparently cropping up around the country? Seems you can go there and throw dishes against a wall or some similar way of physically expressing anger/frustration.
Maybe we all need a visit ... or two or three!
Lifetime membership? ... LOL
