And THE. ENTIRE. TIME. at *every step* Putin *clearly* and *accurately* described not only what was happening, but made all his very reasonable objections and arguments against them widely and publicly known ... warning over and over that at some point he would be *forced* to make the very move he did in fact end up making in order to protect Russia.
Although western media coverage of Putin's sober reportage, assessments, and reasonable warnings was sorely lacking throughout the entire process making it clear that western NATO powers had their own agenda come hell or high water.
