You wouldn't believe how easy it was in the 80s to get on the Fort Knox base. Not sure how it is now, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was no gold left but some dust.

We need to find out. Our National Debt is still based on a very low Gold price. And now there's talk of Gold going up to $3,000/Oz. That might just wipe our our Debt.
