Nobody is reporting it but on a flight from Seattle to Dallas yesterday afternoon, I saw a thick and very long line of smoke above our plane (at more than 30K feet) across the plains and the entire state of Texas. Those who are concerned about climate change are strangely silent when the cause includes their own mis- management and governance. Yes that is the moon rising above that smoke screen.

I'm heartbroken about California.
I grew up in L.A. for some of my childhood
& know it well.
But when I learned, on this path,

Unfortunately, many individuals simply do not want to get involved so they block out the horror before their eyes. Bystanders watch in horror but chose not to do anything. is a gorgeous, tranquil retreat called “Lake Shrine.”
Built by the great soul, Paramahansa Yogananda in 1949,
& planted with trees, flowers, a beautiful little chapel, etc.
I’ve spent many peaceful hours there.

Even though it is precisely where the fires have been raging,
Lake Shrine remains practically UNDAMAGED
but for a small gardener’s shed & a truck.

However, most of the buildings next door to Lake Shrine
or nearby ARE BURNT TO THE GROUND.

The Self-Realization Fellowship blog posted:

the Lake Shrine Temple & Retreat buildings
are COMPLETELY UNDAMAGED..
One large tree has been lost
but the swans & fish are safe..
The Museum — housing many artifacts
