As a nurse educated before "woke medicine," I was taught about the importance of natural immunity. The symptoms of runny nose, cough, fever, is the immune response necessary for the body to rid itself of toxins, offending substances etc. Yes, sometimes those symptoms can be annoying, and cause fatigue, and discomfort. The best way to enhance this process is:
Stay well hydrated ( preferably alkaline water, add lemon to water)
Rest
Consume healthy foods, teas, soups that are easy to digest
Avoid heavy meals, alcohol, highly sugared foods
Apply cool compresses to head and neck for comfort
Mild exercise like a gentle walk in the fresh air and sunshine while deep breathing
Good hygiene
Gargle with salt water for sore throat
Lemon juice, and honey to soothe a cough

Except some cannot have those things because of other illnesses, allergies, etc.

For example, I cannot do the acidic, so lemon juice is out, pineapple juice is out and I can only tolerate only 1 cup of OJ every once in a huge while.

We need the healing across the board with all, IMHO.

Of course, that would be optimal. These are just things I learned about and can be helpful. I think too many people rush to stop the entirety of symptoms which interfers with the body trying to rid itself of toxins and such. 😇
