Presentation of the new FREMM EVO and PPA EVO by Luca Peruzzi, Italian naval editor, on the Fincantieri booth at Euronaval 2024. The two new surface combatants designs for the Italian Navy were showcased for the first time by the Italian shipbuilder.

Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri showcased for the very first time a scale model of the FREMM EVO at Euronaval 2024. These future frigates will be the most advanced FREMMs ever, designed for the needs of the Italian Navy.

Fincantieri also introduced a new version of its PPA surface combatant under the name PPA 2.0 or PPA EVO in presence of Italian Navy officials during Euronaval 2024 exhibition held in Paris. PPA EVO is an enhanced version of the PPA light, and light plus currently in service with the Italian Navy.
