Must be common for our generation. Starting working at 12. Worked on the farm picking tomatoes for 10 cents a peck. I was making about 30 dollars a week. Thought I was rich....

Gen X was a working SOB generation! I thought was in rich when got a 35 hr week job at Mc D's for $3.25 an hour at 16! Not many HS memories except for working, but made our whole generation tough! We didn't get, we EARNED!!!

My first hourly job was 2.85 per hour. A baby on the way, and paying rent on our 1st apartment. Things were different back then.
