Gen X was a working SOB generation! I thought was in rich when got a 35 hr week job at Mc D's for $3.25 an hour at 16! Not many HS memories except for working, but made our whole generation tough! We didn't get, we EARNED!!!

Exactly, I grew up poor. I started babysitting at 12, worked filing papers in an insurance office at 14, worked in a grocery store at 15.-18. Went to nursing school on money I saved. Worked as a nurse in ER/Critical Care for 50 years. 😇😉
