In my opinion, God will forgive Hunter if he truly is sorry for his crimes, and only God would know that. But, Hunter is still guilty for the crimes he committed under the law!

IMO they are both still guilty of their crimes, it doesn't matter if a killer on the street (an everyday person) kills someone and comes to Christ, he is still a killer and still guilty.
