Yeshua doesn't make money for the government, He takes it away because if everyone worshipped the one true King, the current selected ones couldn't and wouldn't be.

What did Jesus mean when He said, “Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s”? | GotQuestions.org
What did Jesus mean when He said, “Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s”? Does “Render to Caesar” mean we are supposed to pay taxes?

Rome improved the cities it conquered...
roads,
water
food production
security
public buildings (baths, library, forum, circus)
This was expensive, they levied taxes to pay for it.
However, today, we fund human slave trading, money laundering, and not the betterment of our living conditions.

The Roman empire improving on anything is very subjective. A lot like our current government

Not having to carry water 3 miles on your head, along a dirt road, would, I think be felt as an improvement, to the women I think.
Having access to a library, and a place to bathe in fresh water, toilets that were not stinking holes in the ground...
As I said - if the money is spent to better the community, a tax, or (as Trump wants) a trade levy is not a bad thing.
But, as with everything evil takes over - the resource stops being used for the community, and becomes nothing more than funds for evil...
Evil loves making us pay for our own demise.
We must excommunicate the evil.

All subjective. It led to the population explosion and now they want to depopulate using technology and change humanity. I'd say modern day technology is more of a hindrance in many ways, it made people lazy and evil but I suspect it was all God's plan. Waiting for that millennial kingdom to come where it's all wiped away. The New Heaven and New Earth.

They want to go back to the life led under the Pharos.
They need a population of 500 million, so their small number can control it.
I'm not religious, so I tend to view all this pragmatically.
Seems to me, the organization Jesus began, bears no resemblance to the one we see today.
But, centuries of kings and bishops scratching each others backs and, the advent of printing - and editing - makes that hardly a surprise.
Corruption happens over along period of time, so the population does not notice it, and accepts each new change as it is implemented.
One thing Rome did that no other ancient civilizations did, was, whatever country Rome conquered, it allowed the people to continue worshipping as they had. All Rome required, was that a statue if the current Emperor, be erected in a temple, and given due attention, instead of force converting the conquered to their religion, and creating a seething cauldron of hate, waiting to boil over as a result.

The reason they killed Yeshua. So they thought. The only reason He came was to lay down His life. They did not take it. Now He lives and it's up to every individual to find and follow Him... or not
John 3:3-7
Tree of Life Version
3 Yeshua answered him, “Amen, amen I tell you, unless one is born from above,[a] he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
4 “How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus said to Him. “He cannot enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born, can he?”
5 Yeshua answered, “Amen, amen I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit,[b] he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not be surprised that I said to you, ‘You all must be born from above.’
