I did apartment maintenance for years. I was preparing a vacant for paint and was trying to sand some 'glob' on the wall. NO sandpaper could cut it and had to resort to a CHISEL and even *still* had to work at it. It had a funny color and turned out it was toothpaste .. I then verified from the smell! Apparently used to fill a nail hole where they'd hung a picture
