Yup .. we elders have seen and experienced a LOT!

My very first email, age 40+ circa mid 90s, went to a Dr King head of NASA Goddard. When Richard Hoagland had been invited there to give his Face On Mars presentation he was approached quietly by a person who claimed to be tasked w/ air brushing *out* various anomalies on Apollo mission photos. At that time, due to budget cutbacks, Goddard was at risk of losing funding that would have required moving the entire 1st generation Apollo photo archive to a Federal warehouse making it very difficult for researchers to access. Days later he came on Art Bell and giving out Dr King's email address he asked everyone to write him to let him know that the American people were paying attention to the situation and wanted the archive to remain at Goddard with the idea King could use the response to convince congress to maintain it's funding.

I along w/ certainly *many* others (Bell was on some 300+ stations nationwide at the time) wrote. In my email I included the part about the unidentified person admitting to airbrushing out photo anomalies. I sent it around 4am on a Sat morning, by the time I got up around noon I had a response from King himself wanting to know *who* the person was making the airbrushing claim. I didn't know of course but took the opportunity to engage him a little further perhaps prodding him about the existence of moon anomalies. By Sat night I got a *2nd* email from King, even more demanding of info on the airbrusher and quite defensive about the whole thing. Since he left the door open for further discussion I wrote him again with even more probing questions.
