Speaks to the minds of those who cling to their taught religion,
making them believe they're doing right by their god,
whichever one they believe in.

#1 This "Nation" was founded on the FREEDOM to believe or NOT believe in a religion or god.

#2 Religious persecution: One group forcing their beliefs, punishing non-believers with death by torture, stoning & fire for not following the group think sounds a lot like communism to me!

#3 Anyone who believes they have to "take up the weight & burden of the cross" in order to be, feel and act with compassion, love, giving, helpful, etc. has been brainwashed by a cult!

#4 NO ONE has to sacrifice anything to be compassionate, have humility or grace!
Will I sacrifice my meal to give to a hungry or homeless person(s)?
Absolutely! And I have!
Not because some man or woman told me to.
And certainly not because I believe I have to live up to a MODERN man made idol!
