Another amazing group I worked with in the past during flood relief was "Baptist Men", which rolled in from hundreds of miles away to assist in relief/cleanup/home-saving efforts with over 120 of their dedicated men & women volunteers and then our combined efforts digging out mud filled homes went Supercharged & into Overdrive. They even came with cooks & food totally self sufficient. They are another amazing group.
In that case, no National Guard or Active Military helping dig out (no Orders, Military can't move without Orders), no FEMA other than 1 fella with a laptop. Pathetic gov't response letting people suffer until volunteers took the situation in hand.
Now imagine our full Military automatically & immediately activated in all such disasters, working in coordination & cooperation with volunteer groups + local EMS & LE!
A FORCE FOR GOOD.
Military & Civilian resources & capabilities deployed in cooperation, immediately.
