Lower Lights

A great evangelist, Moody, once preached a message about a lighthouse and the importance of the lower lights. The lighthouse was a safety beacon calling ships to a secure harbor during storms. However, a keeper was responsible for lighting the lower lights to show the way through a channel into this safety area. The keeper decided not to light the lower lights one night because the weather seemed calm and pleasant. Little did he know that a massive storm would arise that night. The ship, amid this storm, saw the lighthouse and headed towards the shore. Without the guidance of the lower lights, the boat crashed upon the rocks, leading to the tragic loss of over a hundred sailors. As followers of Jesus, we are called to be the lower lights. We're called to testify to this generation about the place of safety in Christ. Make sure you have oil in your lamp, my brother and my sister. Let the lower lights burn.
It's time to pray.
