Mom just returned from her dialysis treatment. She has been going to this treatment center for 3 years. TODAY, just after treatment, she was asked if "in the event of an earthquake" would she be able to take the dialysis needles out of her arm fistula on her own." Mom absolutely cannot and expressed that and signed a paper documenting such and is now confused over this and why suddenly now, today??

Mom was told that NY has earthquakes and so forth.

Anyone can help with information on this?? It is a concern.
